In Our Own Back Yard

In Our Own Backyards is an interfaith service-based camp for rising 10th-12th grade students. The camp will take place July 28-31, 2011. Sponsored by Mecklenburg Ministries, it is an immersion into our own city and into multi-cultural and interfaith relationships. The experience will include: interfaith friendships, leadership development and service projects.  The service projects will take place in and around center-city Charlotte through various social service agencies. Interfaith relationaship development will take place through the fun-filled daily adventures of living as a community in an overnight camp experience and through participation in worship experiences of various faith traditions.

theater, including: proper vocal warm-ups,
singing on the microphone, audition
technique, improv games, and scene/monologue
work, songwriting, and performance technique.

At the end of each week there will be an
exciting performance where each camper will
get a chance to SHINE!

Christy will deliver the children's message at this year's Interfaith Thanksgiving Service.  Come out and support over 90 houses of faith standing for inclusion and diversity in the Queen City!  Last year's attendance was over 1250 and this year we expect even more at St. Paul's Baptist Church.
